CHOOSE THE RIGHT SERVICE

Different needs.
A clear choice.

A draft, a digital seal and sworn translator review do different things. Check the receiving organisation’s requirements before choosing.

01 / TRANSLATION DRAFT

Begin with a draft.
Review the meaning.

Get a starting point for your document. Compare the text with the original and check important details before relying on it.

Start with your document

A starting point for your review

An automated draft is not a sworn translation. Choose a translator’s review when you need that level of assurance.

02 / DIGITAL SEAL

A version you can
refer back to.

Check your draft before accepting a digital seal. The seal records that version and provides a way to verify the certificate.

Verify a certificate

Verification with a clear purpose

A digital seal identifies a recorded version. It does not, by itself, mean a sworn translator has checked and signed it.

03 / SWORN TRANSLATOR REVIEW

Bring in a translator
when it matters.

Choose sworn review when you need a translator to check and sign your translation. Confirm the required format with the organisation receiving it.

A few useful answers.

Understand the next step before you upload. For a question about your document, the support team can help.

What is a sworn translator?

A sworn translator is a person on the Ministry of Justice register in Sri Lanka. They check a translation, fix it and sign it. Many offices ask for a sworn translation of papers like birth certificates and deeds.

Can I get a sworn translation online in Sri Lanka?

Yes. Add your document, choose the languages, then choose sworn review. A sworn translator checks and signs it. You see the price before you pay. Sworn review is for Sinhala, Tamil and English.

Can I translate a birth certificate from Sinhala to English?

Yes. Add a clear Word or text file of the birth certificate (or a photo or PDF, if your account has reading of scans and photos turned on) and choose Sinhala to English. Check the names, dates and numbers. Then choose sworn review if the office receiving it asks for a sworn translation. It works the same way for Tamil.

How long will my translation take?

Timing depends on the document, language and review you choose. Sworn review also depends on translator availability. If you have a deadline, contact us before ordering so we can confirm what is possible.

Will the receiving organisation accept it?

Requirements differ. Check with the organisation receiving your document before choosing a service. Ask whether it needs sworn translator review, a signed copy or another form of certification. A digital seal alone does not mean a translator checked the document.

What is the difference between a digital seal and sworn review?

A digital seal saves the draft as it is. It does not mean a person checked it. With sworn review, a translator checks, fixes and signs it. Ask the office receiving your document which one you need.

How much will my document translation cost?

Add your document and choose the languages and service you need. We show you the price before you pay. The price depends on your document and choices.

Can I translate English, Sinhala and Tamil documents?

Yes. Add your document, choose its language, then choose the language you want. Check the available review options before you order.

How can someone verify a translation certificate?

Scan the QR code with your phone. Or open Verify a certificate and type its serial number. You can see its status without signing in.

Which files can I upload?

Word files (.docx and old .doc), rich text (.rtf), plain text (.txt) and Apple Pages (.pages) work for every account, up to 15MB. Old Word, rich text and Pages files are turned into a PDF when you upload them. PDFs, photos and scans (JPG, PNG, WebP) work for accounts with reading of scans and photos turned on. Ask us to turn it on. Use a clear, complete copy so the text is easy to read.

Can I use a photo or a scanned document?

Yes, if your account has reading of scans and photos turned on. Ask us to turn it on. Make sure every page is visible, straight and well lit. Check the text we read before translating, especially names, dates and numbers.

Can I compare the translation with my original?

Yes. Use Side by side to see both versions together, or use the paragraph view to check matching passages. You can switch views while you review.

How do I download my translation?

Open your document and choose a download format. Use the export option beside the reading views to save the layout you are looking at, including a side-by-side copy.

Should I check the draft before certifying it?

Yes. Check names, dates, numbers and meaning before accepting a digital seal. The seal keeps that version as a permanent record. Choose sworn review if you want a translator to check and sign it.

Where can I get help with my document?

Use Contact Us to tell us what you need, or open Help for guidance. Describe the issue and include your document reference if you have one. Do not send your password or verification code.
